Stage 01 — Hanthana to Galaha
Stage 01 of the Pekoe Trail begins at the Ceylon Tea Museum in Hanthana and climbs through the scenic Hanthana Tea Estate with views over Kandy. The route passes landmarks such as Upper Hanthana Church, Sandagiri Maha Stupa, and the Indiana Jones filming site, before reaching ridgelines like Katusu Konda with panoramic views. Continuing through Kithulmulla village and Lunuwella Viharaya, the trail descends through forest and countryside to finish at Galaha.

Stage 02 — Galaha to Loolkandura
Stage 02 of the Pekoe Trail runs from Galaha to Loolkandura, passing through tea estates, hill country towns, and historic plantation landscapes. The route begins at Galaha and enters the scenic Deltota Estate, climbing through winding estate roads with views of the surrounding mountains. The trail reaches Deltota town before continuing through forested slopes and high ridgelines. The final stretch enters the historic Loolecondera Estate — the birthplace of Sri Lanka’s tea industry — passing James Taylor’s Seat and his original cottage before descending to the Loolkandura Tea Factory.
