About this Stage

Stage 02 of the Pekoe Trail runs from Galaha to Loolkandura, passing through tea estates, hill country towns, and historic plantation landscapes. The route begins at Galaha and enters the scenic Deltota Estate, climbing through winding estate roads with views of the surrounding mountains. The trail reaches Deltota town before continuing through forested slopes and high ridgelines. The final stretch enters the historic Loolecondera Estate — the birthplace of Sri Lanka’s tea industry — passing James Taylor’s Seat and his original cottage before descending to the Loolkandura Tea Factory.
