Bellwood Viewpoint

Bellwood Viewpoint is a quieter, less-crowded alternative to the more well-known viewpoints of the Kandy and Gampola highlands. Set within the grounds of an old highland estate, the viewpoint is characterised by sweeping grassland ridges, dense pine and eucalyptus forest, and a serene estate atmosphere.

The approach to the viewpoint winds through the estate past a small hillside pond framed by tall conifers - one of the most picturesque sections of the visit. The route passes through managed grassland and pine plantation before opening onto the summit ridge.
