Day 1 - Bambarakiri Ella, Riverston and Pitawala Pathana
Start from Matale in the morning, visit Bambarakiri Ella first, continue to Riverston Viewpoint, and then visit Pitawala Pathana and Mini World's End before returning to Matale.
Getting around
Use a private vehicle for the complete route. The roads are usable, but drive carefully on narrow, winding, wet, or misty mountain sections.

- Return to Matale unless accommodation around Atanwala has been reserved and confirmed in advance.
- Accommodation near Atanwala is still limited and should not be assumed to be available on arrival.
Optional extension - Sera Ella
Add Sera Ella only if you started early and still have sufficient daylight, energy, and suitable road and weather conditions after Pitawala Pathana. Otherwise, skip the extension and return to Matale.
